6 Notes on wiring the F EC FC30
Please note
Lay the signal input and output lines in separate cable
duct s, and avoid bundling the wires together. Do not
useasinglemulticorecabletowireupbothsignalin-
puts and outputs.
Caution
Check the supply voltage and earth connections and
the input/output connections before switching on the
voltages.
Remember to tighten the assembly screws or screw-type
terminals for the external connection. The external connec-
tions must have no obvious damage.
Warning
Make sure that the supply voltages are isolated from
the FEC before changing any cables or carrying out simi-
lar tasks.
When using inductive loads take necessary precautions to
eliminate volt ag e trends.
If it proves necessary to measure the maximum insulation
voltage and dielectric resistance of the IPC FEC Compact,
first disconnect the input and output cables and the sup-
ply voltages from the IPC F EC Compact.
Perform the tests across a common point on all the con-
nections and the earth terminal.
