1 Safety instructions
1.1 General safety instructions
WARNING!
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifi-
cations provided with this tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may re-
sult in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1.2 Machine-related safety instructions
– This charger can be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or a lack of practical experience and knowledge, provided they are su-
pervised or have been instructed to use the machine safely and understand the dan-
gers of machine operation.
Children
are not allowed use or play with the machine.
– Do not open the battery pack or the charger. Even after disconnection from the
mains, there is still a high capacitor voltage inside the charger.
– Make sure that metal objects (such as metal chips) or fluids do not enter the ma-
chine through the battery pack retaining slots (danger of short circuit).
– Do not charge battery packs from other manufacturers. The charger is designed for
charging original battery packs only. Never charge the battery packs in chargers
from other manufacturers. Otherwise there is a danger of fire and explosion.
– During charging, place the charger on a well-ventilated surface.
– Protect the machine from moisture.
– Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
– Check the plug and the cable regularly and should either become damaged, in order
to avoid a hazard, have them replaced by an authorised after-sales service work-
shop.

4 Intended use
