• The K726 microphone is designed for professional applications and requires 48 V ± 4 V
DC phantom power. This power can be provided by a mixer, console, or a separate
phantom power supply like the Fifine PM48 single-channel or other multi-channel
options.
• The microphone's XLRM-type connector outputs a balanced, low impedance (Lo-Z)
signal. The signal is present across Pins 2 and 3, while Pin 1 serves as the ground (shield).
The output phase follows the "Pin 2 hot" convention, meaning that positive acoustic
pressure produces a positive voltage at Pin 2.
• To ensure proper sound quality and prevent phase cancellation, it is essential to wire all
microphone cables consistently. Connect Pin 1 to Pin 1, Pin 2 to Pin 2, and so on.
• During use, it is recommended to secure the microphone cable to the mic stand or boom,
while leaving a slack loop near the microphone itself. This setup provides effective shock
isolation and reduces the risk of accidentally pulling the microphone out of its mount.
7. For optimal recording results, it is recommended to maintain a pickup distance of 15
to 20 centimeters between the vocal source and the microphone. Placing the
microphone directly in front of the person speaking or singing is advised to achieve
the best recording quality.
