Usage Features:

The Fiido D12 is designed for user-friendly operation and adaptability.

  • Riding Modes: It offers a pedal-assist mode to extend riding range and a throttle-only mode for effortless propulsion. The power adjustment button allows riders to shift between three assist gears.
  • Safety First: Riders are strongly advised to wear a suitable and safe helmet, reflective clothing at night, and adhere to traffic rules. Emergency braking should prioritize the rear wheel first, then the front, especially at high speeds, to prevent falls.
  • Saddle Height Adjustment: The saddle height can be easily adjusted using a quick-release mechanism. Riders pull the battery seat tube out of the frame, adjust it to their desired height (ensuring it stays within the marked safety lines), and then buckle the quick release.
  • Unfolding Instructions:
    1. Unfold the bike frame to a straightened position and secure it by tightening the frame folding handle and safety clasp.
    2. Unfold the handlebar tube to the upper position, lock it, and tighten the safety clasp. Adjust the T-handlebar into the riding position.
    3. Open the seatpost clamp, insert the seatpost, and adjust its height (observing marked lines) before tightening the clamp.
    4. Before riding, double-check all locking positions (frame, seat, handlebar), brake system function, tire pressure, and battery charge.
  • Folding Instructions:
    1. Open the lock at the base of the seatpost, lower the seat to the bottom, and close the clamp.
    2. Open the lock at the base of the steering tube, then gently fold down the tube and handlebar.
    3. Open the lock in the center of the bike frame, and fold the D12 in half.
  • Pedal Installation: Pedals are installed using a 15mm spanner, screwing the spindle into the thread hole in the direction of the arrow (left counterclockwise, right clockwise). Proper alignment is crucial to prevent slipping.
  • Charging: The battery charging port is located below the saddle. The charger should be connected to the bike first, then to the AC power source to avoid sparking. Charging should occur in a well-ventilated, dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It's important to connect the battery before charging and disconnect the electricity first, then the battery end, after charging.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the Fiido D12.

  • Battery Care:
    • Charge the battery fully when it's used up; the green light on the charger indicates a full charge.
    • Avoid long-term storage with low power, as this can affect battery performance.
    • Charge in a ventilated, dry place, away from direct sunlight or rain.
  • Brake Maintenance:
    • Regularly check for abnormal brake sounds or wheel rotation resistance.
    • Ensure the brake cable is not stuck and adjust fine-tuning if necessary.
    • Verify brake pad and disc clearance is balanced.
    • Replace worn brake pads promptly.
  • Seat Tube Maintenance:
    • If the seat tube slides down, check and tighten the set screw of the seat tube clamp.
    • Inspect the anti-skid bushing inside the clamp; replace if damaged.
  • Folding Joint Maintenance:
    • If folding is difficult, check if the spring at the folding joint is out of shape or pulled out without return; replace if damaged.
    • Lubricate dry folding joints with lubricating oil.
  • Handlebar Alignment: If handlebars are not straight, loosen the standpipe fixing screw, readjust the handlebar, and then tighten the screw.
  • Saddle Security:
    • Check and tighten the saddle fixing screw with a hex tool.
    • If the loose fixing screw causes the saddle to slide up and down due to sliding teeth on the rack of the seat tube clamp code, replace the seat tube clamp code.
  • Chain Maintenance:
    • If the chain often falls off, check for a deformed chainset and replace it if necessary.
    • Ensure the rear derailleur is not loose; relock and tighten it.
    • Add lubricating oil to the chain and flywheel to prevent rust and reduce wear.
  • Water Exposure: When crossing water sections, ensure the wading height is not higher than the hub to prevent motor damage. Avoid using high-pressure water guns for cleaning, as this can damage electronic components and wiring.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a list of fault codes (E001-E006) corresponding to controller, display communication, motor hall, handlebar, motor, and motor phase faults, which can aid in diagnosing issues.

By following these guidelines, users can ensure a safe, enjoyable, and long-lasting experience with their Fiido D12 electric bicycle.
