Function Description:

The 4 Litre Air Cooler is an electrical appliance that provides cooling and fan-only operation. It works by drawing in air, passing it over a cooling pad moistened with water from a 4-liter tank, and then expelling cooler air. For enhanced cooling, ice bottles can be frozen and placed in the water tank. The unit features adjustable airflow, both vertically and horizontally (swing mode), to distribute air effectively within a room.

  • Setup:
    • Remove all packaging.
    • Lay the appliance on its back on a soft surface to prevent damage.
    • Push the four castors (wheels) into the base of the cooler.
    • Place the unit upright on a solid, level surface.
    • Insert the mains plug into a socket with dry hands.
  • Control Panel: The top-mounted control panel includes buttons for various functions:
    • Cool On/Off Button (12): Activates the cooling function after water has been added to the tank.
    • Fan Off Button (13): Switches off the fan.
    • Low Fan Speed (14): Selects low fan speed.
    • Medium (Mid) Fan Speed (15): Selects medium fan speed.

    • Swing Button (17): Activates horizontal oscillation of the air louvres to spread airflow from side to side.
  • Fan Only Mode:
    • To operate as a fan without cooling, press either the Low (14), Med (15), or High (16) Fan Speed buttons.
    • Press the OFF button (13) to switch off the fan.
  • Cooling Mode:
    • Rotate the retaining catch upwards and pull out the Water Tank (8) from the rear of the cooler.
    • Fill the water tank with water, ensuring not to exceed the 'MAX' mark visible on the Water Gauge (10) at the front of the unit.
    • During use, regularly check the water level on the Water Gauge (10) and top up if it falls below the 'MIN' mark.
    • For enhanced cooling, fill the two supplied Ice Bottles (11) and freeze them. Once frozen, place one ice bottle in the water tank. The second bottle can be frozen and swapped when the first one defrosts.
    • Press the Cooler button (12) and then select the desired fan speed (Low (14), Med (15), or High (16)) for cool air output.
    • Important Safety Note: DO NOT operate the cooler in cooling mode without water in the Water Tank (8) as this may cause permanent damage to the unit.
    • Press the OFF button (13) to switch off the fan.
  • Airflow Adjustment:
    • Horizontal: Press the Swing button (17) to enable the Air Louvres (7) to move from side to side.
    • Vertical: Use the two Vertical Airflow Adjusters (4) to manually adjust airflow vertically up and down.
  • Portability: Equipped with castors (9) for easy movement.

Maintenance Features:

  • General Cleaning:
    • Ensure the cooler is unplugged from the mains supply before cleaning.
    • Wipe the outer case with a clean, soft, damp cloth. Avoid using detergents or harsh abrasives.
  • Air Filter and Cooling Pad Cleaning:
    • Remove the two screws from the top rear of the Air Filter (2) using a posidrive screwdriver (not supplied).
    • Remove the Air Filter (2).
    • Carefully prise out the Cooling Pad (3) from the Air Filter (2).
    • Wash both the Air Filter (2) and Cooling Pad (3) in warm soapy water. Use a soft brush to remove any debris.
    • Allow both components to dry thoroughly before reassembling and replacing them.
  • Water Tank Cleaning:
    • Wipe the water tank clean with a clean damp cloth.
    • Clean the water tank regularly to prevent silting up.
    • After use and during storage, empty the water tank by placing the cooler onto a sink drainer, carefully removing the tank, and pouring out any remaining water.
  • Important Note: DO NOT immerse the appliance or its cord in water or any other liquids.
