5000D Series Digital Intercoms
The Firecom 5000D Series Digital Intercoms, when used with Firecom noise attenuating headsets, provide protection
from hearing loss that can occur from exposure to high noise levels, while also providing each user clear communication
with the other crew members.
New Features:
• Digital Intercoms have an Analog Devices DSP for easy of configurability
• Squelch control
• USB interface for advanced programmability
• Programmable from the faceplate
• 4 radio capable
• Incoming/Outgoing transmission light
• Increased background noise suppression
• Waterproof remote Intercom head for outdoor installations.
Each crew member will hear all radio traffic and be able to communicate over the Intercom. Crew members wearing
Radio-Transmit headsets may transmit over the apparatus radio, from any headset position in the system. “Intercom
Only” headsets will not transmit over the radio.
The 5000D Series Digital Intercoms feature advanced circuitry that effectively suppresses distracting background noise
and eliminates clipping without affecting communication. The result is clear, crisp, on-board communication that has no
competition.
