      Your Firman Portable Generator might not start for several reasons. First, ensure the engine switch and fuel shutoff lever are in the ON position. Check the oil level and add oil if it's low. Other potential causes include a dirty air cleaner (clean or replace it), an empty fuel tank (fill it), or stale fuel (drain and refill with fresh fuel). Also, verify the spark plug wire is connected, and the spark plug is in good condition (replace if necessary). If there's water in the fuel, drain the tank and carburetor and refill with fresh fuel. If the engine is flooded, wait 5 minutes before trying to start it again.
