  Your Firman Portable Generator might not start due to several reasons: * The fuel selector switch is in the OFF position, set it to the ON position. * Low oil level, fill the crankcase to the correct level or place the generator on a level surface. * Dirty air cleaner, clean or replace it. * Out of gasoline, fill the fuel tank. * Stale gasoline, drain the tank and carburetor and refill with fresh gasoline. * Spark plug wire is disconnected, connect it. * Bad spark plug, replace it. * Water in the gasoline, drain the tank and carburetor and refill with fresh gasoline. * The engine is flooded, wait 5 minutes and try again. * Clogged or dirty fuel filter, clean or replace it.
