Fast
Forwarding
and
Rewinding
1.
!fthe
deck
is
in
the
play
mode,
press
the
STOP
button
first.

Automatic
Search
Function
(ASF)

On
Deck
1,
if
the
FAST
FORWARD

pressed
during
playback,
the
tape

automatically
wound

beginning
of
the

lowing
selection
or
the
current
selection,
and
playback
resumes
from
there.
(The
FORWARD

REVERSE
indicator

UP

DOWN
button

change
the
frequency.
The
frequency
changes
while
the
button
is
held

Release
the
button
near

desired
frequency,

press

release
it
repeatedly

smail
steps
until
the
desired
station
is
tuned
in.
The
frequency
changes
in
steps
of
9kHz
for
the
AM
band,
0.05MHz
for
the
FM
band.

When

maximum
(or
minimum)
frequency
is
reached,
tuning
automatically
resumes
from
the
minimum
(or
maximum)
fre-
quency.

To
tune
in
FM
_
stations
with
weak
signals,
press
the
MONO/STEREO
button
so
that
the
ST/MUTE
indicator
turns
off.
In
this
mode,
stereo
broadcasts
are
received
in
monaural.
Presetting
Stations
One
AM,
one
FM-1
and
one
FM-2
station
can
be
preset
at
each
of
the
12
STATION
buttons.

Press
the
AM
or
FM-1/2
button
to
select
the
band
of
the
station
you
want
to
preset.

FM-1/2
button,
the
mode
switches
between
FM-1
and
FM-2
each
time
the
button
is
pressed.

Press
the
UP

DOWN
button

tune

desired

Press
the
MEMORY/TIME
button.
The

indicator
lights
and
the
“CH”
indicator
flashes.
The
current
time
display
turns
off

“STATION
NAME”

lights.

Press
the
STATION
button
at
which
you
want
to
preset
the
station
while
the
“MEMORY”
indicator
is
lit
(approximately
5
seconds).
The
“CH”
indicator
stops
flashing
and
the
number
of
the
STA-
TION
button
which
was
pressed
appears.

“MEMORY”
indicator
turns
off
before
you
press
one
of
the
STATION
buttons,
press
the
MEMORY/TIME
button
again.
The
current
time
reappears
approximately
5
seconds
after
the
STATION
button
is
pressed.

displayed

seconds

any
of
the
