For rescue boats with inboard diesel engine:
These boats are equipped with a inboard diesel engine
with steering stand. (Fig. 11)
Engine starting:
! Move the engine control lever to the neutral
position. (1)
! Switch to run position. (2)
! Push the start button until engine runs (3)
Engine stopping:
! Depress the stop button until the engine stops. (4)
! Switch to off position (2)

Remark:
During sailing the boat the following alarm lights and sound
might occur, indicating engine problems:
! Oil pressure (5)
! Cooling water temperature (6)
! Alternator (7)
In case of occurrence refer to engine manual
For tests or maintenance the engine can idle for about 5 minutes with the
boat out of the water.
Caution:
NEVER turn the main battery switch OFF whilst the engine is
running. This can destroy the alternator, if battery is fitted
