Tester with a fiber module and a connector adapter
installed. Use the connector adapter that connects to
the cords you will test.

A microscope for inspecting fiber connectors (the FT500
FiberInspector Mini Video Microscope is shown)

A test reference cord that you are sure is good. One
connector is SC. The other connector is the same as on
the cords you will test.

Singlemode adapter for the connectors on the cords
you will test

You must use a mandrel when you test multimode fiber.
Select the correct size for the fiber you will test.
