What to do if Follett Freezer does not maintain temperature?
    • T
      Toni HowardAug 5, 2025
If your Follett Freezer isn't maintaining the correct temperature even when all components are running, several factors could be the cause. Start by cleaning the condenser coil. Ensure the door is closing properly, adjusting as needed. Be mindful of the ambient temperature, keeping it below 86°F (30°C). Check for refrigerant leaks and repair if necessary. If the refrigerant charge is incorrect, recover, evacuate, and weigh in the correct charge. Also, inspect the TXV for restrictions or faults and replace if needed. Replace the door gasket if it's faulty. If ice accumulates in the top air return, defrost it completely.

If your Follett Freezer isn't operating at all, first, ensure the power switch is in the ON position and check for any loose connections. Verify that the freezer is properly plugged into the outlet. Make sure there is power at the outlet and that the voltage is correct. Check the temperature controller contact terminals for power, replacing the controller if necessary. Lastly, if the probe isn't sensing the cut-in temperature, replace the controller and/or probe.

What to do if Follett FZR20-LB Freezer does not shutoff?
    • M
Mrs. Kelly Goodman DDSAug 17, 2025
If your Follett Freezer won't shut off, the controller might not be sensing the cut-out temperature. In this case, replace the controller and/or probe. It's also possible that the controller is keeping the refrigeration system energized, so replacing the controller might be necessary.

Why Follett FZR20-LB compressor does not run?
    • B
      Brittany MaloneAug 22, 2025
If the compressor in your Follett Freezer isn't running, the thermal overload might be open or defective. Allow it to cool or replace it. The capacitor and/or relay could also be defective, requiring replacement. In some cases, the compressor itself might be defective and need replacement. Additionally, the HP switch could be open or faulty; allow it to cool or replace it.
