  If the Red Seal LED is flashing on your FoodSaver Kitchen Appliance, it could be due to the unit overheating. Always allow 20 seconds between seals. Under heavy usage, the appliance will shut off automatically. Wait 20 minutes for the unit to cool off. It could also indicate that the vacuum pump has been running for more than 120 seconds. In this case, the appliance will shut off automatically.

Adjust the bag to ensure the open end is correctly placed inside the vacuum channel. Check for wrinkles in the bag along the sealing strip, and gently stretch the bag flat during insertion to prevent them. Open the unit and ensure the gaskets are properly inserted and free of foreign objects or debris. If the appliance has been left latched, unlatch it and allow 10 to 20 minutes for the gaskets to expand. Also, make sure the accessory hose is not attached to the accessory port.
