Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power window/defrost system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following chart:

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom. GO to Symptom Chart - Glass, Frames And Mechanisms.

Pinpoint Test H: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

H1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH

Checks voltage supply to the driver window control switch.

H2 CHECK THE GROUND TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH

Checks ground continuity for the driver window control switch.

H3 CHECK THE ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY

Tests the accessory delay relay for proper function.

Pinpoint Test I: Driver Front Window Inoperative

12 CHECK THE DRIVER POWER WINDOW DOWN OPERATION

Tests the driver's front window operation when going down.

13 CHECK THE DRIVER POWER WINDOW UP OPERATION

Tests the driver's front window operation when going up.

14 CHECK CIRCUIT 991 (TN/LB) FOR OPEN

Checks for an open circuit in the driver window down command wire.

Pinpoint Test J: Passenger Front Window Inoperative

J1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH

Verifies voltage supply to the passenger front window switch.

Pinpoint Test K: Driver Rear Window Inoperative

Pinpoint Test L: Passenger Rear Window Inoperative

Pinpoint Test M: The Defrost System Is Inoperative

Pinpoint Test N: Defrost System Does Not Shut Off
