FUNCTION
TRACTION AND STABILITY CONTROL
These systems help you maintain control of your vehicle when
on a slippery surface. The electronic stability control portion of
the system helps your vehicle avoid skids and lateral slides. Roll
stability control helps your vehicle avoid a vehicle rollover. The
traction control system helps your vehicle avoid drive wheel spin
and a loss of traction. The system turns on each time you switch
the ignition on. You can switch it o by pressing the ESC O
button. Refer to the Stability Control chapter in your Owner’s
Manual for more details.
ELECTRONIC LOCKING
DIFFERENTIAL*
With the system engaged, the rear
axle temporarily locks, allowing
both rear wheels to turn at the
same speed to provide additional
traction in mud, rocks, sand or
other o-road conditions.
TO SWITCH ON THE FEATURE
• Press the electronic lock
dierential switch to engage
and disengage the
lockingdierential.
• The indicator
appears in the instrument cluster display
when the feature is active.
Note: The electronic locking dierential is for o-road use only
and is not for use on dry pavement.
REAR VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM*
Provides a video image of the area behind
the vehicle when the transmission is in
reverse (R). The system uses a variety of
guide lines to alert you of your proximity to
objects. You can use the + and - symbol on
the touchscreen to zoom in and out,
allowing you a better view of an object
behind your vehicle. For more information,
