1. Inspect the wheel pilot bore (A) and
mounting surface prior to installation.
Remove any visible corrosion or loose
particles.
2. Install the wheel.
3. Install the lug nuts finger tight.
Note: Make sure that the cones on the lug
nuts are against the wheel.

4. Partially tighten the lug nuts in the
sequence shown.
5. Lower your vehicle and remove the
vehicle jack.
6. Fully tighten the lug nuts in the
sequence shown. See Lug Nuts (page
189).
7. Carefully install the wheel trim.
Stowing the Flat Tire
Do not raise the spare wheel carrier
without a wheel attached. This can cause
damage not covered by the vehicle
Warranty.
1. Attach the bracket and the secondary
cable to the road wheel.
2. Attach the primary cable to the
bracket. Install the cap, turn it
clockwise until you feel a strong
resistance.
3. Insert the hexagonal end of the lug nut
tool into the guide hole.
4. Turn the lug nut tool clockwise until
you feel a strong resistance and the
spare wheel is fully stowed.
TIRE PRESSURES - TOURNEO
The recommended tire inflation pressures
are on the tire information label on the
driver side B-pillar.
Check all tire pressures when they are cold,
at least once every two weeks.
Note: You may need to remove the spare
wheel from the spare wheel carrier to check
the tire pressure.
