4.1 MAIN COMPONENTS
4.1.1 NOZZLES
henozzlesinstalledintheatomizerareofthedoubleheadtype
(Fig.7).Itispossibletoinstallothertypesofnozzlesbyconsul-
tingtheTechnicalDept.oftheManufacturer.Thenozzlesare
12(6perside),areequippedwithananti-dripmembraneand
themanufacturematerialisbrassforpressuresupto40bars.
Thejetsnormallyusedhavetwopositions:
1) SPRAYING PHASE:ifthenozzleisfacingtheoutsideof
thefangroupandisparalleltotheanti-dripvalve(1Fig.7);
2) CLOSING PHASE:ifthenozzleisturnedat90°andfaces
theinsideofthefangroup(2Fig.7);
Thenozzlesareextremelyimportanttoobtainacorrectdistri-
butiononthevegetationtobetreated.Poorqualityorwornout
nozzlestendtocreateunevenlytreatedstrips;useoutsideofthe
intendedscopeaffectstheaccuracyanddurabilityofthenozzle.

Fortheuseofthediaphragmpump,carefullyfollowtheen-
closed handbook supplied by the Manufacturer. The pump
canbeidentiedbytheplateappliedonthepump,whichalso
showsthemainpressureandowratedata.
Normallythepumpsmustnotexceedthenumberofrevolu-
tionsspeciedbytheManufacturer;ahighernumberofrevo-
lutionsdoesnotimproveperformancebutriskscompromising
itsdurationandsafety.
Onthepumpthereisasafetyvalvesuitablycalibratedtopre-
ventoverpressure.
Donottamperwiththisvalveforanyreasonorobstructthe
pipes connected to it in any way.
