What to do if my Franklin Electric Protection Device shows Overload?
- RRobert GomezAug 21, 2025
If your Franklin Electric Protection Device indicates an overload, there are several potential causes to investigate. First, the SF Max Amps setting may be incorrect and requires adjustment. High or low line voltage can also trigger this issue, so check the line voltage and correct it if necessary. Additionally, inspect for and resolve any ground faults. Pump or motor dragging can also cause an overload; inspect and free up any dragging components. Finally, diagnose and rectify any stall or binding issues affecting the motor or pump.
