Example: condensationsensor on the
compressed-airreservoir(compressed-airreser-
voironthe chassis, innerside)
Vehicles with acondensationsensor: if the
condensationlevel in the compressed-airres-
ervoiristoo high, thisisdisplayed by the yel-
low Condensation in compressed-airCondensation in compressed-air
reservoirreservoir event window. In thiscase, have
the compressed-airbrake system checked at a
qualified specialist workshop.Ifyourvehicleis
equipped with acondensationsensor, the fol-
lowing check is not applicable.

WARNING
Whenyou drive with the chassislowered or
raised,the vehicle's braking and driving
characteristics can be significantly impaired.
Youcould also exceed the permissiblevehi-
cle height if the chassisisraised. There is a
riskofanaccident.
Adjust the vehiclelevel before pulling away.
X
Vehicles with level control: set the driving
level (Y page 142).
The ¸ indicator lamp in the instrument
cluster goesout.
Pulling away
!
Do not pull away during the first engine
rotations. After starting the engine, allow it
to runinidlefor ashort time,untilsufficient
oilpressure hasbeenattained. Do not run
the coldengine at high engine speeds.
In thisway,you will avoidincreased wear
and possibleengine damage.
Youshouldpay specialattentiontoroadcon-
ditions when temperatures arearound the
freezing point.
There is adelay in displaying achange in out-
side temperature.
If the brake system is defective, braking
behaviour maychange or the brake system
mayfail. If younotice areduction in braking
powerwhentesting the brakes, stop the vehi-
cle as soonaspossiblewhile paying attention
to traffic conditions. Havethe brake system
checked and repaired at aqualified specialist
workshop.
If youignore warning lamps and messagesin
the display, you will not recognise failures and
faults affecting the brake system components
and systems. Braking behaviour maychange.
