If an automatic circuit-breaker is tripped,
pin ? moves to OFFposition 2.
X
Pull theautomatic circuit-breaker out of the
module.
X
Press pin ? intoONposition 1.
X
Press trip switch =.
If pin ? moves to OFFposition 2,the
automatic circuit-breaker is functioning cor-
rectly.
If pin ? does notmovetoOFF position 2,
replace theautomatic circuit-breaker.
X
Press pin ? intoONposition 1 and refit
thecircuit-breaker.
X
Switch on consumers and check that they
function correctly.
If theautomatic circuit-breaker is tripped
again, have theelectrical system checked at a
qualified specialist workshop.
Charging thecompressed-air system
i
The supply pressure of theexternal
compressed-air source must be within the
pressure range specifiedfor an external
compressed-air source. Otherwise, it cannot
be guaranteed that you will be able to fill all
thepressure circuits.
Bear in mindthatthe compressed air does
notpass throughthe compressed-air dryer if
you fill thecompressed-air system via con-
nection 28 on theelectronic air processing
unit.
For this reason, the air from theexternal
compressed-air source must be clean and
dry. Otherwise, compressed-air system
components couldbedamaged.
System-dependentreservoir pressurescan be
foundinthe technical datasection
(Y page 205).
Example:connection28onthe electronic
compressed-air supply unit (on inside of chassis
frame)
If you fill thecompressed-air system via con-
nection 28 ; on theelectronic compressed-
air supply unit, the air suspension is also filled.
i The electronic compressed-air supply unit
containsthe followingcomponents in one
unit:
R
Pressureregulator
R
Compressed-air dryer
R
Multiple-circuit safety valve
R
Pressurelimiting valve
R
Control unit
Before towing,check that thespring-loaded
cylinders of theparking brakeare released. If
thecompressed-air supply is insufficient,
release thespring-loaded cylinders manually
(Y page 190).
