Why is my Friedrich CP10 Air Conditioner not cooling as it should?

If your Friedrich air conditioner isn't cooling properly, consider the following: * The air filter may be dirty. Clean the filter at least every 2 weeks. * If the room was hot when you first turned on the unit, allow time for it to cool down. * Check for open furnace floor registers and cold air returns. Set the air conditioner's vent to the closed position to prevent cold air from escaping. * The cooling coils may have iced up. Consult the section on 'Air Conditioner Freezing Up'.
