9.2.5. The system works, but the equipment does not cool

1. Check that the evaporator is not packed with ice (models with range
-25/-15°C; -22/-18°C; -20/-15°C; -6/+4°C; -2/+8°C)
If packed with ice see “Ice formation on evaporator”
2. Check that the evaporator fan(s) work properly
the failed operation of one or more evaporator fans heavily limits the equipment
performance see also “The evaporator fan does not work
3. Check that the reading of the "NTC probe thermostat" chamber probe is correct
An abnormal temperature value can affect the performance and correct operation of the equipment
Access the electronic board where, on “S.CAB” connector, the "NTC probe thermostat" air probe is connected.
With multimeter set in Ω, check that the resistive value of the probe matches the
temperature in the surrounding environment see tab. NTC
If the resistive value is incorrect or unstable, replace the probe
4. Connect the pressure gauges to the corresponding pressure sockets on the system see “Explanation of the
refrigeration system”
With cell and environment temperature between 20 and 30°C, if the evaporation temperature is below
-25/-30°C and the condensation temperature below the environment temperature, the system is discharged of gas
Pressurise the system, find the leak, replace the faulty component
Load the system with the correct amount of refrigerant see “data plate”
Once the system has been loaded, make sure it works properly see “installation check list / functional testing”
