Why is the belt slipping on my Frontier GM1190R Lawn Mower?

  Belt slippage on your Frontier Lawn Mower can occur if the mower is overloaded with material that is too tall or heavy. Try reducing the tractor's ground speed while maintaining full PTO rpm. You could also cut the material twice, first with a high pass, then at the desired height, or cut a partial swath. Slippage may also be caused by oil contamination from overlubrication. Be careful not to overlubricate, and clean any lubricant from the belt and pulleys with a clean rag. Replace the belt if it's oil-soaked. Another cause could be the belt being hung up or rubbing. Inspect the belt for free movement in the pulleys and belt guides. Check under the mower and around the blade spindle shafts for any foreign material like wire or rags, and clean it all out from under the mower.

  Belt rollover on your Frontier Lawn Mower can be caused by pulley misalignment. Re-align the pulleys. It can also be caused by a damaged belt. Replace the belt. Another cause can be a foreign object in the pulley grooves. Inspect all pulley grooves for rust, paint, or weld spots and remove them. Lastly, the pulley groove may be worn. Replace the pulley.

What to do if material discharges unevenly from my Frontier GM1190R?

  Uneven discharge from your Frontier Lawn Mower, resulting in bunches of material along the swath, can occur if the material is too high or there is too much of it. Reduce ground speed while maintaining 540 rpm at the tractor PTO, or make two passes over the material. Raise the mower for the first pass, lower it to the desired height for the second, and cut at 90 degrees to the first pass. Raise the rear of the mower high enough to allow material discharge, but not so high that other issues arise. Wet grass can also cause this issue. Allow the grass to dry before mowing. Reduce ground speed but maintain full PTO rpm. Cutting lower may also help. Finally, it could be that the rear of the mower is too low, trapping material underneath. Adjust the mower height and attitude.
