Why is my Fujitsu AOTR18LCC Air Conditioner cooling poorly?
    • G
      Gregory LeeAug 15, 2025
Several factors can cause poor cooling performance in your Fujitsu Air Conditioner. Check if the air filter is dirty, or if the air conditioner’s intake grille or outlet port is blocked. Make sure the room temperature settings (thermostat) are correctly adjusted. Ensure no windows or doors are open. If it's a Cooling operation, close the curtains if bright sunlight enters through a window. Also, consider if there are heating appliances, computers, or too many people in the room. Finally, check if the unit is set for SUPER QUIET operation.

What to do if my Fujitsu AOTR18LCC doesn't operate at all?
    • J
      Joshua MarshallAug 18, 2025
If your Fujitsu Air Conditioner isn't operating, first check if the Power Supply Plug is disconnected from its outlet. Also, verify if there has been a power failure. Inspect whether a fuse has blown out, or a circuit breaker has been tripped. Finally, check if the timer is operating.

How to fix a Fujitsu Air Conditioner that doesn’t operate immediately?
    • G
      Gary WallaceAug 22, 2025
If the Fujitsu unit is stopped and then immediately started again, the compressor will not operate for about 3 minutes to prevent fuse blowouts. Also, whenever the Power Supply Plug is disconnected and then re-connected to a power outlet, the protection circuit will operate for about 3 minutes, preventing unit operation during that period.

Why does the Fujitsu AOTR18LCC airflow become weak or stop?
    • W
      William YoungAug 26, 2025
There are several reasons why the airflow of your Fujitsu Air Conditioner might weaken or stop. When heating starts, the fan speed is temporarily very low to allow internal parts to warm up. Also, during heating, if the room temperature rises above the thermostat setting, the outdoor unit will stop, and the indoor unit will operate at a very low fan speed. The unit will temporarily stop operation (between 7 and 15 minutes) during heating as the Automatic Defrosting mode operates. The fan may operate at a very low speed during Dry operation or when the unit monitors the room’s temperature. The fan will operate at a very low speed during SUPER QUIET operation or in monitor AUTO operation.

Why is water being produced from the outdoor unit of my Fujitsu Air Conditioner?
    • J
      joseph88Aug 31, 2025
During Heating operation, water may be produced from the outdoor unit due to Automatic Defrosting operation.

Why is there noise coming from my Fujitsu AOTR18LCC?
    • I
      Ian CollinsSep 4, 2025
During operation, and immediately after stopping the unit, you might hear the sound of water flowing in the air conditioner’s piping. Noise may also be particularly noticeable for about 2 to 3 minutes after starting operation due to the sound of coolant flowing. During Heating operation, a sizzling sound may be heard occasionally, which is produced by the Automatic Defrosting operation.

    Lisa NguyenSep 7, 2025
Why is my Fujitsu Air Conditioner emitting mist or steam?
    • K
      Kara HortonSep 7, 2025
During Cooling or Dry operation, a thin mist may be seen emitted from the indoor unit. This results from the sudden Cooling of room air, leading to condensation and misting. During Heating operation, the outdoor unit’s fan may stop, and steam may rise from the unit due to Automatic Defrosting operation.

Why does my Fujitsu AOTR18LCC Air Conditioner smell?
    • A
      autumn16Sep 12, 2025
A smell may be emitted from the indoor unit because room smells (furniture, tobacco, etc.) have been taken into the air conditioner.
