RECOVER YOUR S YSTEM WHEN THE HARD DRIVE
IS NOT BOOTABLE FOR WINDOWS 7
Restore the Recovery Image for Full Hard Disk
Follow the steps in the "Recov
ering your Recovery Image using Recovery an d U tility
(for new hard drive or non-bo
otable hard drive)"section. You will need the Bo otable
Disc and the Recovery Disc
Set for this task.
Utility tool: If applicab
le for your region, the Utility tool contains two options:
Hard Disk Data Delete and
Partition Creation.
•TheHard Disk Data Delete
utility is used to delete all data on the hard disk
and prevent the data fro
m being reused.
NOTE: Do not use the Hard Disk Data Delete utility unless you are absolutely certain
that you want to erase your entire hard disk, including all partitions.
To delete hard disk da
ta:
a. Click the Hard Disk D ata Delete b utton. The progress bar appears, followed
by the End User License Agreement (EULA) screen .
b. Ag ree to the EULA
and click Next.
c. Choose the hard disk from which the data should be deleted in th e
list of hard disks and click Next.
•ThePartition C re
ation utility is used to change the C: and D: drive partition sizes.
WARN ING: It is highly recommen ded that you sen d your product to Fujitsu Service to replace a
hard drive. A mistake could possibly destroy your computer, your new hard drive or both.)
