This document is the setting manual for the Fujitsu General Wireless LAN adapter for air conditioners, models UTY-TFSXJ3 (AP-WJ3E) and UTY-TFSXJ4 (AP-WJ4E). It includes installation instructions intended for authorized service personnel.

Function Description

The Wireless LAN adapter is a device designed to connect an air conditioner to a web service, specifically "AIRSTAGE Mobile" for residential use. This connectivity allows users to operate their air conditioners remotely using a smartphone after downloading the "AIRSTAGE Mobile" app. The adapter facilitates wireless communication between the air conditioner and an access point, enabling remote control and monitoring.

Usage Features

Remote Operation: Control air conditioners from a smartphone via the AIRSTAGE Mobile app.

Timer Settings: Both mobile app and wireless/wired remote controller timer settings become active if set.
Indicator Lamps: The adapter features LED 1 (green) and LED 2 (orange) to indicate its status.
- All lamps off: Power to WLAN adapter is off.
- LED 2 off or blinking fast: Power to access point is off, or WLAN adapter not properly connected to access point.
- LED 1 blinking fast: Communication with air conditioner not possible (potential wiring error).
- All lamps blinking fast: Problem with WLAN adapter.
- LED 1 on, LED 2 off: Initialization complete, adapter ready for connection.
Setting Button: Used for initialization (reset) of the WLAN adapter.
Initialization (Reset): The adapter can be reset to factory settings by pressing and holding the setting button for 12 seconds. This is necessary when changing the access point, disposing of the product, or transferring it to a third party. Initialization deletes saved WLAN adapter information.

Wiring: Use only specified accessories and connection cables. Do not modify cables, use extension cords, or independent branch wiring. Ensure secure connections. Prevent water ingress along external wiring. Do not lay cables on the floor to avoid tripping hazards.
Operation: Be aware that remote operation means the air conditioner can be operated without direct visual confirmation. Regularly check power connections and for dust buildup. Ensure no malfunctions before operating remotely. Inform people in the vicinity before remote operation, especially if they are unable to control temperature themselves (infants, elderly, sick).
