9.3.1 Programmed IP Address and DHCP
For DHCP mode, the PP420 acquires its IP address, subnet mask and gateway address from a
DHCP server. Otherwise the PP420 has a fixed IP address, subnet mask and gateway address.
DHCP mode or a fixed IP Address can be set up using the PP420 Configuration Program. This
will work on any network, as the Configuration Program broadcasts the network setup message
to the PP420. The message includes the serial number to ensure that other Gardasoft products
ignore the message.
The default configuration is DHCP mode. The IP address can also be detected using the
Configuration Program.
