When connecting the pump to the water supply system,
the country-specific sanitary regulations must be observed
to prevent water not of drinking water quality being drawn
back in.
➔ If necessary, contact your sanitary expert.
The pump is automatically switched off on overheating by
the built-in thermal motor protector. After having cooled down,
the motor automatically switches on again (see 6. Trouble-
Shooting).
3. Initial Operation
The pump fitting is equipped with a 33,3 mm (G 1” ) thread to
which 13 mm (1/2” ), 19 mm (3/4” ) and 15 mm (5/8” ) hoses can
be connected by using GARDENA hose connection system
fittings.
1. Screw the pump fitting
1
onto the outlet of the pump and
tighten it manually until the washer fits closely.
2. Attach the hose to the pump fitting
1
.
Best results in delivery capacity of the pump are achieved
when using 19 mm (3/4” ) hoses in conjunction with GARDENA
“Profi” Maxi-Flow System fittings (e.g. Art. No. 1752) or
25 mm (1” ) hoses with fittings available at your sanitary dealer.
When connecting simultaneously several hoses/accessories, we
recommend to use either our GARDENA Twin-Tap Connector
or our Four Channel Water Distributor (Art. No. 1210/1194)
which can be directly screwed onto the pump fitting

4. Operation
To ensure that the pump draws the water out, the water to be
drained must be at least 20 cm deep.
1. Submerge the pump in the well or other water reservoirs,
using the fastening rope
2
.
In order to avoid contaminations, the pump should not be
placed directly on the ground. It must hang freely min. 30 cm
above ground.
2. Secure the fastening rope
2
.
3. When using the pump in deep wells or shafts (ot more than
approx. 5 m), the power cable
4
is to be guided by means
of clamps alongside the fastening rope

.
4. Plug the power cable
