      First, check the spark plug (17) for a spark; if there's no spark, clean it or replace it with a new one. With the on/off switch (4) off, remove the spark plug (17) from the engine. Ensure the choke control (10) is pushed in completely, and pull the recoil starter (11) 15 to 20 times to clear excess fuel. Then, clean and reinstall the spark plug (17), air filter (14), and air filter cover (15). Lift the on/off switch (4) to the 'On' position. Pull the recoil starter (11) three times with the choke control (10) pushed in completely. If the engine doesn't start, move the choke control (10) to the fully extended position and repeat the normal starting procedure. If it still fails, try again with a new spark plug (17).

      This could be due to several reasons. Ensure you are using fresh fuel and good quality 4 stroke oil. A dirty air filter (14) can also cause this, so clean it. The carburetor may require adjustment, but it is recommended that a Service Agent performs this adjustment. Also, make sure the chain brake (13) is released.
