Before You Begin
Some models ore equipped with trim kits that allow you to install door ponds. You con order
pre-cut block or white decorator ponds from GE Ports and Accessories, 800.626.2002, or you
con add wood ponds to match your kitchen cabinets.
Panels less than 1/4" (6 mm) thick
When installing wood panels less than !/4" (6 ram) thick, you need to create a filler panel, such as !/8"
cardboard, that willfit between the face of the door and the wood panel. Ifyou are installing the pre-cut
decorator panels, pre-cut fillerpanels are included in the kit.The combined thickness of the decorator or wood
panel and the filler panel should be !!/32" (8.7 ram) with the panel itself being no larger than !/4" (6 ram).
Panels 1/4" thick or less
Thehandle and the top and bottom trim stand in front of the surface of the door, which requires that the filler
be smaller in length and width than the panel. Usethe guidelines below and tape the filler onto the back of the
