How to fix a GE AJCQ06LWH that won't start?
    • T
      timothy71Aug 16, 2025
If your GE Air Conditioner isn't starting, make sure it's firmly plugged into the wall outlet. Check your house fuse or circuit breaker and replace the fuse with a time delay type or reset the circuit breaker if needed. Also, check the plug current device and press the RESET button. Finally, ensure that the power is turned ON.

Why does my GE Air Conditioner keep turning on and off?
    • M
      Melanie RamirezSep 12, 2025
If your GE Air Conditioner turns on and off rapidly, it may be caused by a dirty air filter restricting airflow. Clean the air filter to resolve this. If the outside temperature is extremely hot, set the FAN speed to a higher setting to cool the outdoor cooling coil.

Why is my GE AJCQ06LWH not blowing cold air?
    • M
      michael62Aug 22, 2025
If the air from your GE Air Conditioner doesn't feel cold enough, it could be because the room temperature is below 62°F (17°C); cooling may not occur until the room temperature rises above this. Also, the temperature sensor behind the air filter may be touching the cold coil, so keep it away from the coil. You can also try setting the unit to a lower temperature. If you changed modes, wait 3 minutes after setting to the COOL mode.

What to do if my GE Air Conditioner is dripping water inside?
    • J
      Jody GonzalezAug 26, 2025
If you notice water dripping inside from your GE Air Conditioner when it's cooling, it's likely due to improper installation. To fix this, slightly tilt the air conditioner to the outside to allow for proper water drainage. Refer to the installation instructions or consult with an installer for assistance.

Why is my GE Air Conditioner so noisy when cooling?
    • T
      Tamara ElliottAug 28, 2025
Some noise is normal due to air movement. If the noise from your GE Air Conditioner is too loud when cooling, try setting it to a slower FAN setting. It could also be due to improper installation. Refer to the installation instructions or check with the installer.

What to do if GE Air Conditioner is cooling but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
    • A
      amber74Sep 3, 2025
If your GE Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, it could be due to several factors. If the outdoor temperature is below 64°F (18°C), set the unit to FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil. A dirty air filter can also cause this issue, so clean the filter. If the thermostat is set too cold for nighttime, switch to FAN ONLY mode to defrost and then raise the temperature setting. Ensure that air directional louvers are properly positioned for better air distribution and that the front of the unit isn't blocked by anything. Lastly, make sure all doors, windows, and registers are closed.
