Accessories
Shunt
Trip
The
shunt
trip
offers
remote
electrical
tripping
of
breaker
.
It
is
usually
controlled
by
a
switch
or
pushbutton
and
may
also
be
used
in
conjunction
with
protective
relays
for
automatic
tripping
.
The
shunt
trip
coil
is
rated
for
intermittent
duty
.
When
factory
installed
it
is
supplied
with
a
cutoff
switch
which
automatically
removes
control
power
following
a
breaker
trip
.
Undervoltage
Trip
The
undervoltage
trip
protects
against
harmful
drops
in
line
voltage
by
automatically
tripping
the
breaker
.
This
device
is
set
to
pick
up
at
approximately
85
%
of
bus
voltage
,
and
drop
out
between
30
%
and
60
%
.
The
UV
device
is
also
available
with
an
optional
static
time
-
delay
unit
This
offers
a
field
-
adjustable
two
to
six
second
delay
between
undervoltage
fault
and
breaker
trip
to
prevent
potential
nuisance
tripping
due
to
momentary
loss
of
voltage
.
The
time
delay
unit
is
mounted
external
to
the
breaker
.
It
is
rated
125
or
250
V
dc
or
208
/
240
V
ac
,
50
or
60
Hz
.
For
any
other
ac
source
voltage
,
a
control
power
transformer
with
a
240
Volt
secondary
rated
at
least
100
Va
is
required
.
