Thefollowingpermitteddetergentscanbeusedtocleanthedeviceandother
non-appliedpartsunlessthereareseparatepart-specicinstructions.Non-applied
partsrefertothosepartsofthesystemthatarenotindirectcontactwiththepatient.

●Warrantydoesnotcoveranydamagescausedbyusingsubstancesormethods
notapprovedbyGE.
●GEmakesnoclaimsastotheefcacyofthelistedsubstancesormethodsto
controlinfection.
●Alwaysdilutecleaninganddisinfectantagentsaccordingtotheirmanufacturer’s
instructions.Alwaysconsideryourhospitalguidelinesaswell.
●Yourhospitalguidelinespermitting,allcleaninganddisinfectionactivitiescan
becarriedoutatthebedside.
●Donotletliquidpoolaroundconnectionpins.Ifthisshouldhappen,blotdrywitha
soft,lint-freecloth.
●Donotuseexcessivedryingtechniques,suchasoven,forcedheat,orsundrying.
●Donotspraycleanerdirectlyonthedisplayscreen.
●Neverconnectanydeviceorappliedparttoapatientuntilitisthoroughlydry.
●Ifyoudiscoveranysignsofdeteriorationordamageinthedevice,discontinueits
use.
Generalcleaninginstructions
Followtheseinstructionstocleanthedevicesandothernon-appliedpartsunlessthe
otherpartsprovidepart-specicinstructions.Non-appliedpartsrefertothosepartsof
thesystemthatarenotindirectcontactwiththepatient.
1.Disconnectthedevicefromthehost.
2.Removeallcablesandthebattery.
3.Closethebatterydoor.
4.Dampenasoftlint-freeclothwithoneofthepermitteddetergents.
5.Wringexcessliquidfromtheclothandwipetheexteriorsurface.Payspecial
attentiontohard-to-cleanareas,likegroovesandcrevices.
●Removeanysoilassoonaspossibleafterusebywipingthedevice.
●Anycontactofcleaningsolutionswithmetalpartsmaycausecorrosion.
●Donotdamageorbendconnectorpinswhencleaningordrying.
●Donotletuidpoolaroundconnectionpins.Ifthishappens,blotdrywith
acottonswaborsoftcloth.
