      Ronnie YoungJul 27, 2025
First, inspect the Patient Data Module’s battery interface. Look for any damage to the battery tray; if you find damage, replace it. Next, check the battery connector inside the battery compartment for damage. If damaged, contact GE technical support. Finally, try inserting a known good battery to see if it charges. If it doesn’t, contact GE technical support. Also, verify the battery itself. Ensure it's fully charged by pressing the TEST button. If the LED isn't at 100%, follow the charging and conditioning procedures. Inspect the battery connector and surfaces for damage, and replace the battery if needed. Also, assess NBP performance by performing the NBP calibration check as described in the Solar 8000M/i patient monitor service manual Maintenance and checkout chapter. If the NBP pressure is leaking, check the NBP cuff for leakage. If the cuff isn't leaking, use the GEHC MS service tool and go to Diagnostics > Service Metrics to record the NBP statistics information for trending. If needed, replace the NBP assembly with manifold.
