Care and cleaning of the range.
Pull the knobstraight offthe stem.
Lower Control Panel (Front Manifold Panel) and Knobs
It'sa good ideato wipe the control panel after
each useof the oven. Usea damp cloth to
clean or rinse.For cleaning, use mild soap
and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and
water. Forrinsing,use clean water. Polishdry
with a soft cloth.
Donot useabrasive cleansers,strong liquid
cleaners,plastic scouring pads or oven
cleaners on the control panel-they will
damage the finish.
Donot bend knobs by pulling them up or
down or by hanging a towel or other such
loads.Thiscan damage the gasvalve shaft.
Thecontrol knobs may be removed for easier
cleaning.
Hake surethe knobs are in the Offpositions
and pull them straight off the stems for
cleaning.
Theknobs can be cleaned in a dishwasher
or they may alsobe washed with soapand
water.Hake surethe insidesof the knobs are
dry before replacing.
Replacethe knobs inthe Offposition
to ensure proper placement.
Hetal parts can be cleaned with soap
and water. Donot usesteel wool, abrasives,
ammonia, acids or commercial oven
cleaners.Dry with a soft cloth.
Oven Racks
Cleanthe rackswith an abrasive cleanser or
scouring pad.After cleaning, rinsethe racks
with clean water and drg with a clean cloth.
If the racks ever become hard to slide,wipe
the rack edgesor oven rack supports with
vegetable oil.
NOTE:Takethe racks out of the oven before
gou begin the self-cleancgcleor theg mag
discolor.
Heavg-Dutg Oven Racks (onsomemodels)
Cleanthe rackswith an abrasive cleanser.
The oven racksmay be cleaned in the
self-cleaning oven. However,the racks
will darken in color,lose their luster
and become hard to slideifcleaned
during the self-cleaning cycle.
To make the racksslidemore easily,apply
a small amount of vegetable oil or cooking
oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven rackswith the paper towel.

Oven Light Replacement
CAUTION:Beforereplacingyour
oven light bulb, disconnect the electrica! power
to the range at the main fuse or circuit breaker
pane!. Be sure to let the light cover and bulb
coo! completely.
The oven light bulb iscovered with a
removable glasscover that is held in place
with a bail-shaped wire. Removethe oven
door,ifdesired,to reach cover easily.
Toremove:
Holda hand under the cover soit
doesn't fall when released.With fingers
of the same hand,firmly push back
the wire cover holder.Liftoff the cover.
Do not remove ang screws to remove
the cover.
[_ Do not touch hot bulb with a wet cloth.
Replacebulb with a 40-watt household
appliance bulb.
To replace cover:
I_] Placeit into the groove of the light
receptacle. Pullthe wire forward to
the center of the cover until it snaps
into place.When in place,the wire holds
the cover firmly. Becertain the wire
is inthe depression inthe center
of the cover.
[_ Connect electrical power to the range.
