Why won't my GE Dishwasher dishes dry?

  If your dishes aren’t drying, consider these factors: * Low inlet water temperature: Ensure it is at least 120°F. Select Heated Dry or Dry Boost. Use Wash Temp Boost. Select a higher cycle, such as Steam Sani or Heavy. * Empty rinse agent dispenser: Check and fill as needed. * Additional drying time needed: Leave the door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run an additional 90 minutes (on some models). Opening the door cancels this extension. * Cycle selection: Avoid using the Light cycle, which uses lower water temperature and thus limited dry performance. * Cycle completion: Allow cycles to fully complete. See Long cycle times in this Troubleshooting Tips section.

What to do if my GE Dishwasher control panel works but it never fills with water?

  If the control panel of your GE Dishwasher responds to inputs but the dishwasher never fills with water, make sure the door is firmly closed. Also, ensure the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on. The flood float may be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter that looks like a dome, then replace the filter.

  If your GE Dishwasher isn't drying dishes effectively, several factors could be contributing. First, ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F and select Heated Dry or Dry Boost. You can also use Wash Temp Boost or select a higher cycle, such as Steam Sani or Heavy. Check the rinse agent dispenser and fill it as needed. On some models, leaving the door closed after the Clean light appears allows the fan to run for an additional 90 minutes to improve drying. Note that opening the door cancels this fan extension. If you're using a Light cycle, which uses lower water temperature, switch to a different cycle. Allow cycles to fully complete.

  If your GE Dishwasher is beeping at the end of the cycle, this is normal. To turn off the double beep indicator (or re-activate it if it was previously turned off), press the Heated Dry pad 5 times within 3 seconds.

  If there's water standing in the bottom of your GE Dishwasher tub, it could be due to a clogged air gap. Clean the air gap to resolve this. Alternatively, a high drain loop or air gap might not be installed correctly; refer to the Installation Instructions for proper drain line installation.

Also, check that the water valve (usually under the sink) is turned on. The flood float may also be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly and lightly tap the dome-like piece underneath it.
