The count for any given component can only increment by 1
for every heating cycle. Under normal use, water heaters
generally experience 2-3 heating cycles per day, so it could
take 3-5 days for a fault to be displayed to the consumer.
An important note on faults counts
If the control has recorded a fault for a specific component,
but the next time the heating cycle starts, that component
operates normally, the fault count would decrease by one.
For example, if the control records a T4 sensor fault for the first
3 heating cycles, the fault count would be 3. If the 4
th
time the
heating cycle started, the T4 sensor was within specifications,
the control would subtract 1 and the total count would be 2. If
it failed again on the 5
th
start, the total count would be 3 (the
count will never be below zero).
