Thermal Cutouts (TCO)
The thermal cutouts provide
additional safety from tank
overheating.
TCO #2 trips at 170°F and
breaks both L1 and L2.
TCO #1 trips at 160°F and
breaks the L1 circuit.
If either TCO opens, all heating
sources (upper element, lower
element and compressor) are
disabled. Both thermal cutouts
require a manual reset.
