What to do if my GE GNW128P won’t operate?

  If your GE Washer won’t operate, ensure the cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Also, check that both hot and cold water faucets are fully turned on. Make sure the lid is closed and press Start. Check the house circuit breakers or fuses, replacing them or resetting the breaker if necessary. Try unplugging the washer, waiting two minutes, plugging it back in, and pressing Start (or Power if the display is blank). Finally, ensure you have pressed the Start button.

  If your GE Washer is not draining, check if the drain hose is kinked or if the washer is sitting on it. Straighten the hose and ensure the top of the drain outlet is less than 8 ft (2.44 m) above the floor.

Why is my GE Washer leaking water?

  If your GE Washer is leaking water, try the following: switch to High Efficiency detergent. Use less detergent, especially if you have soft water or a lightly soiled load. Ensure fill and drain hoses are tightly connected with rubber washers installed, and the drain hose is correctly inserted and secured. Check for clogs in your household plumbing and ensure the drain hose isn't rubbing against the wall. Also, tighten hoses at the faucets and consider replacing fill hoses every 5 years due to constant water pressure.
