Why is there fan noise coming from my GE JB645RKSS?
    • V
      victoriabrownSep 22, 2025
The convection fan in your GE Ranges may automatically turn on and off, which is normal. The fan is designed to operate intermittently to maximize cooking evenness. The convection fan will operate during preheat of the bake cycle and will turn off after the oven is heated to the set temperature.

      Michael SimmonsAug 25, 2025
If the clock and timer on your GE Ranges are not working, check the following: * A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. * Make sure the range is completely plugged into a properly grounded electrical outlet. * Verify that the oven controls are set correctly. Refer to the 'Using the kitchen timer' section.

Why won't my GE JB645RKSS Ranges surface unit maintain a rolling boil?
    • L
      Lauren ShermanAug 27, 2025
Your GE Ranges surface unit may not maintain a rolling boil because of improper cookware or low power (voltage). Ensure you're using flat pans that match the diameter of the surface unit. If power is low in your area, cover the pan with a lid to retain heat until the desired temperature is reached.

Why does my GE JB645RKSS Ranges oven door glass appear tinted or have a rainbow color?
    • X
      xlewisSep 23, 2025
The inner oven glass of your GE Ranges is coated with a heat barrier to reflect heat back into the oven, preventing heat loss and keeping the outer door cool while baking. This is normal, and under certain light or angles, you may see this tint or rainbow color.

    Matthew RichardsonSep 10, 2025
Why are there areas of discoloration on my GE Ranges cooktop?
    • T
      Tyler HarrisSep 12, 2025
Areas of discoloration on your GE Ranges cooktop can be caused by food spillovers not cleaned before the next use. Clean food spillovers promptly. Also, on models with light-colored cooktops, a hot surface may appear discolored, which is normal and temporary, disappearing as the glass cools.

    Debbie WalshSep 12, 2025
Why doesn't my new GE Ranges oven cook like my old one?
    • S
      smithmichaelSep 12, 2025
Your new GE Ranges oven may cook differently because it has a different cooking system than your old oven. For the first few uses, carefully follow your recipe times and temperatures. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference. This adjustment affects Bake and Convection Bake temperatures, but not Convection Roast, Broil, or Clean.

What to do if my GE Ranges oven door will not open after a clean cycle?
    • R
      robinsonerinSep 4, 2025
If your GE Ranges oven door will not open after a clean cycle, it's likely because the oven is still too hot. Allow the oven to cool below the locking temperature.

    • K
      Kelly RobinsonSep 1, 2025
