Ensure the 3-prong plug on the oven is fully inserted. * The door might not be securely closed. Open the door and close it securely.

  If the control panel of your GE Microwave Oven is lighted but the oven won't start, consider these possibilities: * The door might not be securely closed. Open the door and close it securely. * You may not have pressed the START pad after making your cooking selection. Press START. * Another selection may already be entered in the oven, and you haven't pressed the PAUSE/CLEAR pad to cancel it. Press PAUSE/CLEAR. * You might have accidentally pressed PAUSE/CLEAR. Press START. * If you selected AUTO DEFROST, you may not have entered the food weight. Ensure you've entered the food weight after selecting AUTO DEFROST. * If you pressed AUTO COOK, you may not have entered a food type. Make sure you have entered a food type.
