  Your GE Microwave Oven might not be starting due to several reasons: * A fuse in your home may be blown, or the circuit breaker tripped, in which case you should replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. * There might have been a power surge; unplug the microwave oven, then plug it back in. * The plug might not be fully inserted into the wall outlet. Ensure the 3-prong plug on the oven is fully inserted. * The door might not be securely closed. Open the door and close it securely.

  If the control panel of your GE Microwave Oven is lighted but the oven won't start, consider the following: * Ensure the door is securely closed. Open it and close it again firmly. * Make sure you press the START pad after entering your cooking selection. * If another selection is already in the oven, press STOP/RESET to cancel it. * If you've pressed POWER LEVEL, ensure you enter the cooking time before pressing START. * If you accidentally pressed CLEAR/OFF, reset the cooking program and press START. * If using INVERTER DEFROST, ensure you've entered the food weight. * If the oven was accidentally paused, press START to restart the cooking program.

  The SENSOR ERROR message on your GE Microwave Oven indicates one of two things: * During the Sensor cooking program, the door was opened, or STOP/RESET was pressed before steam could be detected. Close the door and press START immediately. * Steam was not detected in the maximum amount of time. Use ADD 1 MINUTE for more cooking time.
