  The cooling fan in your GE Ranges may automatically turn on and off to cool internal parts, which is normal. The cooling fan will cycle on and off as needed.

Also, make sure the oven controls are properly set by consulting the 'Using the self-cleaning oven' section. Finally, if your model has a door latch, ensure the oven door is fully locked by moving the door latch handle all the way to the right.

If that's not the issue, the burner holes or slits might be clogged; remove the burners or burner heads and caps to clean them carefully with a sewing needle or twist-tie, being careful not to enlarge the holes. For sealed burner models, inspect and clean the electrode area. Finally, ensure all burner parts are correctly assembled.

  If the display on your GE Ranges goes blank, a fuse in your home may be blown, or the circuit breaker tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Also, the clock may be turned off, so it does not show in the display. See the Using the clock and timer section.
