  If the surface burners on your GE Ranges light, but the bake and broil burners do not, the gas to the oven burners may have been shut off. The oven gas shut-off is located on the gas regulator near the gas line attachment to your range. Locate it and flip the lever.

Why does my GE JGB450 oven door glass appear to be "tinted" or have a "rainbow" color?

  This is normal. The inner oven glass is coated with a heat barrier to reflect the heat back into the oven to prevent heat loss and keep the outer door cool while baking. Under certain light or angles, you may see this tint or rainbow color on your GE Ranges.

What to do if the burners on my GE JGB450 Ranges do not light?

  If your GE Ranges burners do not light, ensure the electrical plug is fully inserted into a properly grounded outlet. Also, check that the gas supply is connected and turned on. A blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker could also be the cause, so replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Incorrectly replaced burner parts, clogged burner slots, or food residue on the electrode can also prevent ignition. Refer to the Care and Cleaning section for proper burner replacement and cleaning. Lightly polish the electrode tip with a nail file or sandpaper if there's food residue.
