How to fix ice jammed in the GE OPAL NUGGET Ice Maker chute?
    • J
      Jeffrey HarveyJul 29, 2025
To clear a jam, press and hold the Power and Open Dispense buttons simultaneously. This will cause the OSD auger to rotate counterclockwise as long as you hold the buttons. Once the jam is cleared, release the buttons and dispense as normal. If the machine still isn't running, ensure that the power supply is working.

What to do if water is not flowing from the side tank in my GE OPAL NUGGET Ice Maker?
    • M
      Mitchell DavisAug 8, 2025
Bubbles in the tube connecting the side tank to the OSD may be the reason. Try adjusting the tube to allow the water to flow. Once the water line is clear, water should flow normally without further adjustments. If this doesn't resolve the issue, remove the side tank from the base and then replace it. This should eliminate any trapped air.

Can I dispense ice if my GE OPAL NUGGET is on?

Yes, as long as the OSD Nugget Ice Maker Dispenser is plugged in, the dispenser will work. Even if you've turned the machine on to reduce noise, the dispenser will still dispense fresh ice when the button is pressed, provided there is ice in the bin.
