~A sharp, distinctivesound willbe heard at the end of each spinperiod as the motor
stopsand the spin brakeinsidethe transmission“locks in~’Thissoundis normal.
~Heavily“unbalancedloadscan causethe washerto vibrateexcessivelyduring spin,
and maycause it”tomovefrom itsoriginalposition. In extreme cases (usuallyoccurs
when washinga single,heavyitemor a smallload when waterlevelissethigherthan
necessary), the spin basketmaystrikethe outertub, creatinga loudbutharmless noise.
Tocorrect, open the lid and redistributethe load evenlyaboutthe wash basket. C~ose
the lid and restart.

INSTRUCTIONS
The tub. The porcelain is
self-cleaning. Leavelid open after
wdshingto allowInoistureto
evaporare.Do not useharsh
or gritty cleansers.
The exterior. Wipeoff any spillsof
washingcompounds. Wipe or dust
with damp cloth. Try not tohit
surface with sharp objects.
To store washer:
Ask service technician to remove
water from drain pump and hoses
to prevent freezing,
Do not store the washer where it
will be exposed to the weather.
For IoIlg Vacations:
Be sure water supply is shut off at
f;lucetsand drain ail water from
hoses if weather wili be below

The Aetivator” agitator.Remove
at regular intervals—about4 to 6
months—andremove any lintthat
may haveaccumulated. No tools
are needed, simply grasp agitator
with both hands and pull straight

the top of the metal shaft has a light
coating of lubricant to prevent parts
from sticking together. If this area
appearstobedry,applyalightcoat

When replacing the agitator,
carefully lower straightdown onto
the shaft so that it fitsinto the slots.
Then apply downwardpressure
untilagitator snaps into itsnormal
