4. Connect
theComponents
NOTE:ALLWIRESSHOULDHAVEADRIPLOOPTOPREVENTWATERFROMENTERINGTHECONTROLMODULE
PlugintotheControlModulethelevelsensorharnessthatcontainsthe“Aquarium/Sump”and“TopOffBin”
Sensors.Thisharnessplugsintothe6pinreceptacleonthelower
lefthandside(asyouarelookingatthe
backoftheControlModule).
IfusingaROCvmodulewithyourSTORM™system,plugthelevelsensorharnessthatcontainsthe“ROCv
Max”and“ROCvMin”SensorsintotheControlModule.Thisharnessplugsintothe6pinreceptacle
onthe
lowerrighthandside(asyouarelookingatthebackoftheControlModule).
Ifused,plugtheaquariumorsump’sFailsafeLevelSensorcableintothe2pinreceptacleonthelowerright
handside(asyouarelookingatthebackoftheControlModule).
Ifused,plugthetopoffwaterbin’sFailsafeLevelSensorintothe2pinreceptacleonthelowerlefthandside
(asyouarelookingatthebackoftheControlModule).
IfcouplingyourSTORM™systemwithaRENEWautomaticwaterchangesystem(seeourwebsite
forwhyyou
wanttodothis!),plugthecommunicationharnesssuppliedwiththeRENEWsystemintothecenter6pin
receptacleonthebackoftheSTORM™ControlModule,andplugtheotherendintothecenter6pin
receptacleonthebackoftheRENEWControlModule.

Attachasegmentofappropriatelysizednontoxictubingtoasubmersiblepumpandplacethepumpinthetopoffwater
bin.
6. Routethetubing totheaquariumorsump.Thetubingshouldbesecuredsuchthattheendofthetubingisjust above
thehighestwater
levelintheintheaquariumorsump,sothatthewaterwillrundownthesideofthetankasthewater
leveldrops.Doingsowillimprovewaterflow,reducenoise,andpreventwaterfromsiphoningbackintothetopoffbin.
Cutthetubingtolengthifnecessary.
7. Plugthepump’spowercordintotheACreceptacleonthebottomrightoftheControlModule(whenviewingthefrontof
theControlModule).EnsurethatadriploopisformedtopreventwaterfromenteringtheControlModule!
8. PlugtheControlModule’spowercordinto
aGFCIprotected110VACoutlet.Ensurethatadriploopisformedtoprevent
waterfromenteringtheControlModule!YouarenowreadytouseyourSTORM™System!
