How to troubleshoot Genesis STORM when no indicators are lit?
    • R
      Richard SchroederJul 28, 2025
If no indicators light up on the Genesis Control Unit and pressing buttons does nothing, first, ensure the Control Module is securely plugged into a 110VAC outlet and check the electrical supply's breaker or fuse. Second, verify that the Power Button is in the ON position.

What to do if the “Topping Off” LED blinks on Genesis STORM but it won't top off?
    • H
      Helen LeeAug 3, 2025
If the “Topping Off” LED indicator blinks and the Genesis Control Unit doesn't top off, it might be because the STORM™ performed two consecutive top off cycles without detecting a water level increase. Make sure the water transfer tube is connected to the pump and that the tubing end is in the aquarium or sump. Press PAUSE / RESET to resume.

Why is the “Monitoring” LED blinking on my Genesis Control Unit and the system isn't topping off?
    • D
      David PhamAug 8, 2025
If the “Monitoring” LED indicator blinks and the Genesis Control Unit doesn't top off the sump, it may be because the system is paused. To resolve this, press the PAUSE / RESET button.

What to do if “Monitoring,” “Sump Level,” or “Bin Level” LEDs blink on Genesis STORM Control Unit and system halts?
    • T
      Todd BartonAug 14, 2025
If the “Monitoring,” “Sump Level,” and/or “Bin Level” LED indicators blink on the Genesis Control Unit and the system halts, it could be due to several reasons. * The supply water level might be too low, so refill the supply water bin. * The sump level might be too high (if Failsafe switches are present). * Level Sensors might not be plugged in; check their connections on the Control Module. * A Level Sensor could be faulty; manually slide the float along the sensor shaft, and if there's no change after pressing the PAUSE / RESET button, replace the Level Sensor. Consider also decreasing the pump's on-time during top-off cycles.

Why are RENEW™ “Detected” and “Suspending” indicators on and Genesis Control Unit won't top off?
    • M
      Monique Hardy DVMAug 20, 2025
The RENEW™ “Detected” and “Suspending” indicators are illuminated and the system will not top off because the RENEW™ Automatic Water Change System is performing a water change cycle. The STORM™ system will top off the aquarium or sump if necessary after the RENEW’s™ cycle is complete.
