Taping battery cables together to reduce inductance.
Do not keep the battery cables far apart. In case it is not convenient to twist the cables, keep them
taped together to reduce their inductance. Reduced inductance of the battery cables helps to
reduce induced voltages. This reduces ripple in the battery cables and improves performance and
efficiency.
AC SIDE CONNECTIONS
Connect input cable with correct polarity (phase – neutral and ground) to main / utility power
using properly rated cables.
Connect output wire to loads ensuring no AC power is paralleled.
CAUTION!
Do not connect loads above stabilizer rating of Genesis XM Series UPS
Do not reverse phase and neutral of input as well as output.
Preventing paralleling of the AC output
The AC output of the XM Series UPS cannot be synchronized with another AC source and hence,
it is not suitable for paralleling. The AC output of the XM Series UPS should never be connected
directly to an electrical breaker / load center which are also fed from the utility power/Generator.
Such a connection may result in parallel operation of the different power sources and AC power
