This document is a user and maintenance manual for GENPOWER Open Type Inverter Gasoline Generators.
Function Description
GENPOWER generators are designed to provide electrical power, particularly in situations where a reliable utility service is unavailable or for applications requiring portable power. They are open-type inverter gasoline generators, meaning they use an inverter to produce clean, stable AC power suitable for sensitive electronics, and their design allows for easier access to components for maintenance. The generators are designed for continuous operation, with specific ratings for Standby Power (ESP), Prime Power (PRP), Limited Continuous Power (LTP), and Continuous Power (COP), each with defined operating conditions and limitations.

Usage Features
- Ease of Use: The manual emphasizes easy handling and maintenance for users.
- Safety Measures: Comprehensive safety instructions are provided, including warnings against indoor operation due to carbon monoxide, touching hot or rotating parts, and improper refueling.
- Starting and Stopping: Detailed steps for starting the generator, including the use of the OFF/ON/CHOKE switch and recoil starter, are outlined. Instructions for stopping the generator, including disconnecting loads and allowing the engine to cool, are also provided.
- Grounding: The generator is equipped with an equipment ground for safety, and instructions for proper grounding are included.
- Load Management: Users are advised to understand generator limits to prevent overloading, which can damage the generator and connected devices. A "Wattage Reference Guide" is included to help determine the power requirements of various appliances.
- Economy Switch: This feature offers two modes: "ON" for quieter operation with resistive loads and "OFF" for both inductive and resistive loads, especially when loads are cycling on and off.
- Status Lights: The generator includes indicator lights for "Low Oil Warning" (Yellow), "Overload Warning" (Red), and "AC Power Light" (Green) to provide operational feedback.
- USB Outlets: Equipped with 5VDC, 1A/2.1A USB outlets for charging compatible electronic devices.
- Circuit Breakers: AC outputs are protected by circuit breakers, which trip in case of overload or short circuit. Instructions for resetting the breaker and reducing load are provided.
- Fuel Recommendations: Recommends using clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 77. Warns against mixing oil with fuel and using gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol.
- Oil Level Sensor: Prevents engine damage by shutting down the generator if the oil level falls below a safe threshold.
Maintenance Features
- Periodical Maintenance: The manual stresses the importance of regular maintenance for prolonged life and performance. It recommends a periodical maintenance agreement with authorized services.
- Warranty: A 2-year or 1500 operating hours guarantee is provided, contingent on use in accordance with the manuals and using original parts. Modifications or use of non-original parts void the warranty.
- Maintenance Schedule: A detailed schedule is provided, outlining tasks to be performed at each use, every 100 hours or 6 months, and every 300 hours or every season.
- At Each Use: Check engine oil level.
- Every 100 Hours or Every 6 Months: Clean/Replace Air Filter, Change oil, Muffler Screen, Clean/Replace Spark Arrestor.
